Microneedling has been around many, many years. It's benefits are clinically proven, tested and trialed many times and is a treatment for those who are looking for serious, real results when it comes to their skin.
It's known under a few different names; microneedling, skin needling, dermarolling, collagen induction therapy and I'm sure there's more. They all aim to give you plumper, more youthful, softer skin with less fine lines, less sagging and even more skin tone.
This is the ultimate in collagen stimulation. It is ideal for a bride or a mother of the bride or groom, or anyone with an event coming up or just looking to have... the most amazing skin ever!! And who isn't??
Results - gimmie the good stuff!
The results from this treatment do take a few months to be truly noticed however people do see a difference in their skin within a couple of weeks and a acceleration in the cellular activity in the skin means that the results can last for years... Yes! Years!!!
Aftercare is a massive part of this treatment and, you could say, is almost as important as the needling itself!

While this is sounding like the greatest thing ever in the world and nothing is going to stop you getting it done... There are contraindications to this treatment meaning you may not be suitable unfortunately. A full consultation must be done in the days beforehand.
So the serious part - what actually happens??
So this treatment involves using a device with tiny pin head needles which create tiny wounds in the skin. These wounds are what trigger the skin into producing a voluminous amount of that sweet, sweet collagen that's gonna make all our problems go away... Well our skin problems anyway!
The collagen rushes to fill these tiny channels in the skin plumping our skin, healing, evening out skin tone, improving fine lines, improving the texture, improving blood flow and improving the visibility of pores.
It has to be pointed out that this treatment can draw blood, we are using needles after all! Bleeding depends on each individual and it isn't necessary to be spouting blood to get results. However, blood spots are a sign of micro trauma to the skin and guarantee increased production of collagen and elastin.
A topical anesthetic is applied to the skin before the treatment. A patch test must be done at least 48 hours beforehand. This will make the procedure much more comfortable for the client.
A typical procedure - step by step
Firstly; The skin is cleansed and prepped. The topical anesthetic is applied and left to numb the skin for about 20-30 minutes.
After this the device is used all over the face, with more focus made on particular areas of concern. The needling part lasts about 20 minutes.
A mask is then applied to the skin and left for about 15 minutes. This calms and relieves the skin.
Aftercare is then given. This must be adhered to!
Downtime is unavoidable with needling. The skin will be left red, like sunburn and remain looking pink for up to 3 days following the treatment. There is to be no heat or sweating, no swimming or gymming. No dirty hands, no cuddling pets or other animals! No smooching people with beards or stubble and no perfumed products, for at least 24 hours. Your therapist will go through all aftercare in detail.
It's important to remember the skin is healing from a wound and should be treated as such. Think about it, you would hurt your arm and immediately put makeup or perfume on it!
So, to finish...
So if you're looking for healthy, glowing skin that will have everyone gasping in awe, then book yourself a consultation to find out if you are suitable for this amazeballs treatment. With all this being I feel the need to warn you, this treatment, in particular, it's results are extremely addictive!
So go forth and receive your beautiful, youthful glow. Happy needling!!
